Little Bunting!

Today we trapped and ringed at the end of the morning a LITTLE BUNTING (Emberiza pusilla). It seems to be only the second record for Romania! A nice combo with the observation on hour later of the previously ringed Pine Bunting (Emberiza leucocephalos); still there around the Green Village Resort!

The migration was pretty good with mostly Chiffchaff (Phylloscopus collybita), but also Pied Flycatcher (Ficedula hypoleucos), Collared Flycatcher (Ficedula albicollis), Willow Warbler (Phylloscopus trochillus) and Lesser Whitethroat (Sylvia curruca).

Collared Flycatcher

We observed today a breautiful male adult Pallid Harrier (Circus macrourus) until in the study area and everyday we see some nice Citrine Wagtails (Motacilla citreola); up to 10 together!
